Disk Centrifuge

Disk centrifuge is a kind of vertical centrifuge,drum is arranged on the vertical axle upper end,through a transmission device by a motor to rotate at high speed.

There is a set of disk parts mutually overlapping together in the drum.There is a small gap left between the disc and the disc.Suspension(or emulsion) is put into drum by the feed tube located in the drum center.When the suspension(or emulsion) flow through the gap between disks,solid particles(or liquid particles) sediment on disks under the effect of centrifuge and form sediment(or liquid layer). Sediment sliding along the disk surface and separated from the disk and accumulated in largest diameter part of the drum,the separated liquid discharge from liquid outlet.

The disc plays a role of shortening settlement distance of solid particles(or liquid),expanding the settlement area of the drum,due to the installation of the disc in drum,the production capacity is greatly improved.Accumulated solids in the drum are removed manually by opening the drum after separator shutdown,or through the discharging mechanism discharge in the case of non stop.

Two kinds of centrifuge operation:

1.Liquid solid separation(i.e.,the separation of the bae concentration suspension),as known as the clarification operation.

2.Liquid-liquid separation(or liquid-liquid-solid separation)(i.e.emulsion separation),called separation operation.
